Basic Navigation and System Features

Dynamics GP has basic navigation and system features that are designed to make you more productive. There are several ways to navigate the system and I wanted to show you some of them.
The basic menu system is arranged by type of record or view, and then by series. For example if you wanted to create a payables transaction, you would go to “Transactions”, then “Purchasing”, and then “Transaction Entry”. If you wanted to run a detail general ledger report, you would go to “Reports”, then “Financial”, and then “Trial Balance”.
You can also design your own menu system by using the “Shortcuts” feature on the Home Page. You can add folders and sub-folders, and then add Dynamics GP screens, or other links. There are different ways to navigate Dynamics GP. Find the ones that work best for you.
